Guess what! I went to BROADWAY on WEDNESDAY!
And Guess what's better than that! I MET STEPHEN LYNCH!
That's right, folks. I saw The Wedding Singer on Broadway Wednesday at 2 pm. Matinee, you know...
I was absolutely AMAZING! It was hysterical and wonderful and GAH! I loved it!
Afterwards, I went to the Stage Door and waited for the leads to come out. THE lead just happens to be my favorite comedian EVER. His name's Stephen Lynch, and he's a singing comedian. Lol, yea it makes some sort of sense, I guess.
I got a poster that I got most of the leads to sign (yes, Stephen signed the poster! Oddly enough, he's really nice! Underneath all that cursing and pervertedness, he's great! lol).
And I told him he's "The best comedian ever." And he said, "Oh... Thanks." So, yeah I made a total idiot out of myself, but he talked to me! lol.
Highlights:
-Walking into Toys R Us and seeing a full size ferris wheel. Wtf?
-Being in said Toys R Us and suddenly hearing the lyrics "Don't Breathe Too Deep. Don't think all day. Dive into work. Drive the other way. That drip of hurt, that pint of shame goes away just play the game. You're living in America at the end of the millenium. You're living in America, leave your conscience at the tone. And when you're living in America at the end of the millenium. You're what you own..." sung by ANTHONY RAPP. Yes, children, RENT WAS PLAYING IN A TOYS R US! Broadway version, thank you.
-Well,meeting Stephen Lynch was definately a high.
- Finding many street corners with Broadway posters lined up. YES!
-Going to at least 5 broadway gift shops.
-Finding out that Avenue Q has sheet music availible. Lol.
-Finding out that Stephen Lynch was going to perform! YES! So happy, I was.
-Actually being asked by people in the TKTS line what shows are good. Lol, like I know. I can tell you what they're about, if the music's good, and what other people have said about them, but that's as far as my knowledge goes.
- Walking around New York for about 4 hours and stopping at every theater to take pictures, lol.
- Finding out that an Original Broadway Cast member is still in Avenue Q (Do the math, folks. Avenue Q has been around as long as Wicked has. That's about 2 or 3 years of performing the same show 8 times a week. That's amazing.).
That's about all I have for now! It was amazing. Comment please!
